Commissary Requirements

To become a member you must meet and adhere to these requirements. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Food Permits

All renters will need to obtain a food permit from the Department of Agriculture for food businesses that package food and sell retail or wholesale.
or
DBPR for food trucks, food carts, or caterers.

This permit can be obtained after a rental agreement with our kitchen has been signed. Permitting will need to be obtained within 30 days. Renters will not be permitted to use the kitchen until the permit has been issued.

Business License

All renters must have a business registered with Sunbiz.

Tax ID
You will need a tax ID from Florida Department of Revenue to apply with DBPR & FDACS.

Business Insurance

All renters must hold a business insurance policy with Central Florida Kitchen Group LLC added as an additional insured. Proof of insurance will be required. We recommend FLIP (Food Liability Insurance Program). You can sign up or learn more here.
Use code: volusia for $10 off.

Food Manager Certification

Renters will be required to be Certified Food Managers. This is also a requirement of Department of Agriculture and DBPR for food permit licensing. For accredited programs click here.

Other Requirements

Our kitchen is only available to rent by our permitted members.

Each member is required to be signed up for a monthly plan. Our minimum hours required is 2 hours per month.

Membership agreements are for 1 year. We do not do short-term rentals.

Membership cancellations will require proof of canceling your food permit or proof of changing the address to a new commissary kitchen.

All renters will have a card on file that will be charged on the first day of the month for each month's membership package.

A $25 late fee will be applied if payment is made late. If payment is not made within 7 days, your kitchen membership will be canceled, and FDACS or DBPR will be notified.

Without a kitchen on file, you will lose your food permit.

Self-Sufficient Food Trucks are charged for an entire year's membership before a commissary letter will be issued.

We require a one-time $125 non-refundable member fee.

To make sure our kitchen stays clean for all of our members, renters are responsible for cleaning the space used during their shifts. Cleaning time must be completed during your scheduled time. We also do a once-a-week deep cleaning of the kitchen and perform regular pest control.

Our kitchen is not open to the public. If you would like to schedule a time to tour our kitchen, please fill out the form here. You may also email info@volusiacommissarykitchen.com; however, you will be asked to fill out the form first so that we can get an idea of your business and what you are looking for in a commissary.

Due to the number of inquiries we receive, the preferred contact method is email or our inquiry form. We only share phone numbers after you become a kitchen member.

The kitchen, entry, and back parking lots are equipped with security cameras for your safety and ours.
